Oh, well imagine
As I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor
And I can't help but to hear
No, I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words

"What a beautiful wedding
What a beautiful wedding," says a bridesmaid to a waiter
"And, yes, but what a shame
What a shame the poor groom's bride is a whore."

I chime in with a
"Haven't you people ever heard of closing a goddamn door?"
No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality
I chime in
"Haven't you people ever heard of closing a goddamn door?"
No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of

Oh, well in fact
Well I'll look at it this way
I mean, technically, our marriage is saved
Well this calls for a toast
So pour the champagne

Oh, well in fact

I mean, technically, our marriage is saved
Well this calls for a toast
So pour the champagne, pour the champagne

I chime in with a

Again

Men come in four sizes -- small, medium, large, and "You're going to put that thing *where*?"

From in the shadow she calls
And in the shadow she finds a way
Finds a way
And in the shadow she crawls
Clutching her faded photograph
My image under her thumb
Yes, with a message from my heart
Yes, with a message from my heart

She's been everybody else's girl
Maybe one day she'll be her own
Everybody else's girl
Maybe one day she'll be her own

And in the doorway they stay
And laugh as violins fill with water
Screams from the bluebells
Can't make them go away
Well I'm not seventeen
But I've cuts on my knees
Falling down as the winter
Takes one more cherry tree

She's been everybody else's girl
Maybe one day she'll be her own
Everybody else's girl
Maybe one day she'll be her own

Rushin' rivers, thread so thin, limitation
Dreams with the flying pigs, turbin blue and the drugstores too
Safe in their coats and in their do's
Yeah, smother in our hearts a pillow to my dots
One day maybe one day
One day she'll be her own

And in the mist there she rides
And castles are burning in my heart
And as I twist I hold tight
And I ride to work every morning wondering why
"Sit in the chair and be good now"
And become all that they told you
The white coats enter her room
And I'm callin' my baby, callin' my baby, callin' my baby, callin'

Everybody else's girl
Maybe one day she'll be her own
Everybody else's girl
Maybe one day she'll be her own

Lacuna Coil are an Italian gothic metal band formed in Milan, Italy, in 1996. They were formerly known as Sleep of Right and Ethereal.

Lacuna Coil's music is inspired by gothic imagery, using melodic guitar lines, alternating heavy and light vocals, and a bit of pop influence. According to themselves, the band is influenced by Paradise Lost, Tiamat, Septic Flesh and Type O Negative, among others.

Lacuna Coil have been gaining increasing fame in recent times not only due to their music, but based on the sex appeal of their lead singer, Cristina Scabbia. She has appeared in countless music magazines and even on the cover of some European Maxim magazines. Along with Nightwish and Arch Enemy she is bringing some femininity to what has always been a male-dominant genre.

There have been many changes to the site this time! I added a new theme, new smileys, we have a "vote for the next contest" thing going on, the shoutbox has been removed and I added a new avatar gallery!

So, yeah. I've been busy.

sit back, matter of fact
teasing, toying, turning, chatting, charming
hissing, playin the crowd

play that song again
another couple Klonopin
a nod, a glance, a half-hearted bow

oh such grace
oh such beauty
and lipstick and callous
and fishnets and malice
oh darlin'

you're a million ways to be cruel
(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)
you're a million ways to be cruel
(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)
you're a million ways to be cruel

i should, i wish i could, maybe if you were i would
a list of standard issue regrets
one last eighty proof, slouchin' in the corner booth
baby, it's as good as it gets

oh such grace
oh such beauty
so precious, suspicious, and charming and vicious
oh darlin'
you're a million ways
oh darlin'

you're a million ways to be cruel
(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)
you're a million ways to be cruel
(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)
you're a million ways to be cruel

oh darlin'
oh darlin'
you're a million ways
oh darlin'
oh darlin'
you're a million ways
oh, darlin'
oh darlin'
you're a million ways to be
oh oh oh oh

(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)
you're a million ways to be cruel
you're a million ways to be cruel
(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)
you're a million ways to be cruel
you're a million ways to be cruel
(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)
you're a million ways to be cruel
(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)
you're a million ways to be cruel
(one zero zero zero zero zero zero cruel)

oh darlin you're a million ways to be cruel.

"Call Me When You're Sober"

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

Should I let you fall?
Lose it all?
So maybe you can remember yourself.
Can't keep believing,
We're only deceiving ourselves .
And I'm sick of the lie,
And you're too late.

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

Couldn't take the blame.
Sick with shame.
Must be exhausting to lose your own game.
Selfishly hated,
No wonder you're jaded.
You can't play the victim this time,
And you're too late.

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

You never call me when you're sober.
You only want it cause it's over,
It's over.

How could I have burned paradise?
How could I - you were never mine.

So don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
Don't lie to me,
Just get your things.
I've made up your mind.

he's a company man, your right hand
13 years and counting
no detectable ambitions, a model of efficiency,
far as you can see

he knows every loophole, the art of fine print
massaging the numbers 'til they fit
and every time you ask him for another vanishing act
he half-smiles as if to say

whatever you want,
whatever you want,
whatever you want is fine by me

never a real moment together,
but she understands; you're an important man
another late night,
don't know if you're coming home or when
she's alone again

but she goes on curating your domestic museum
she disappears in her loyalty
she is a dress, wearing a face in the doorway
opening her arms out to you

whatever you want,
whatever you want,
whatever you want is fine by me

no one would dare to question you, oh no
no one would dare to stand up

but in the night she leaves the papers in a tidy pile,
evidence for her reasons
and in the night he takes the main accounts and pulls the files
detailing every treason

i am the last one you'd ever suspect
of setting the fire, of setting the fire
but as you switch on your TV tomorrow morning,
you'll hear me saying quietly

whatever you want,
whatever you want,
whatever you want is fine by me

oh whatever you say,
whatever you say,
i'll do what you ask me
i'll do what you ask me

oh whatever you say,
whatever you say,
but do you know who's listening?

whatever you say,
i know it's over
