Guess I'm playing the role of the bad cop today. I'm going to try not to step over any lines with this post, but I cannot hold this in and watch her pull a stunt like this.
You've basically all but admitted to stealing someone else's work. What you did is a crime. A lot of sites would outright ban you, no questions asked, upon seeing that, along with your defense. Sparrow's post, in which she critiques your actual art side-by-side with your ripped art, pretty much tells the entire story.
If I made the original art, and if I saw someone ripping it off, like you did, without my permission, I'd be plenty mad. It's one thing to say, "I based this off of some art (insert name here) did," but you're claiming the entire art as your own, from start to finish. If I were in the actual creator's shoes... worst case scenario, you'd have a lawsuit at your front door the very second I could find my attorney... best case scenario, I'd be forcing the owner of the site to delete the ripped art, ban you from said site, and then contact your ISP regarding your act.
If I were you, I'd delete that image. Now.
I don't know if I speak for anyone on this, but I'm willing to forgive and forget if you admit to what you did and subsequently give credit to where its due.
