I intend to.

One german friend has asked me to translate one thing to russian, and I refused, because it sounds on russian as an insult.
It took me more than 2 hours to explain him that the sentence he wanted to say directly translated from english/german into russian will sound as plain as a wall, that plain that it turns into something rude, because it's way too simple Even reading and learning some Shakespeare would help, but, of course, it requires time and effort this person doesn't want to make.

The thing he wanted me to translate was an explanation in love. I understand everything, but I really didn't want him to get shoot because of it.

It also made me pissed off because I don't like how plain people have become in love. One compliment can be said in 1000 different ways, not only "you look cute". I guess every girl wants some romantic words, not only plain and simple words ToT

We had to cut the Nutcracker Suite from our Winter concert because it was everyone said it was "too hard" ...more like they're too LAZY. It was actually challenging, unlike the usual Christmas songs we get that are middle school level. I also had 14 solos in it; more than any in one piece that I've ever seen. I practiced and was really looking forward to performing it.

We had to cut the Nutcracker Suite from our Winter concert because it was everyone said it was "too hard" ...more like they're too LAZY. It was actually challenging, unlike the usual Christmas songs we get that are middle school level. I also had 14 solos in it; more than any in one piece that I've ever seen. I practiced and was really looking forward to performing it.

That sucks. 14 solos is a lot, but, like you said, you had your mind set on it. I'm sorry that happened. Not the first time I've heard of things being spoiled by people who don't try though. >_>

On another note, I am POSITIVE I had a song cancelled like that when I was in high school....
